Dr. Stephen Todd Newman was born and raised in Southern California. A graduate of St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano and the University of Southern California, he moved east immediately after college to conduct and publish research at Harvard Medical School, In the laboratory of Dr. Gloria Lee at Harvard’s Center for Neurologic Disease. He then followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and attended the Boston University School of Medicine, where he discovered his passion for comprehensive patient care and extended his research by studying the effect of bisphasic defibrillators on porcine (pig) physiology.
